Chemistry Staff Committee

  • Mission Statement/Purpose
    • This committee combined the University Staff Committee and Academic Staff Committee beginning 2023-24.
    • This committee represents the interests of the academic and university staff in the department.
  • Functions/Tasks
    • Nomination and coordination of academic and university staff for awards
  • Meeting Frequency
    • Minimum of four meetings per academic year;  usually coordinated with campus award schedule.

    • Agendas of all meetings must be posted 24 hours in advance.

    • Requests for funds are directed to the Leadership Council, policy and other initiatives are directed to the Department Committee.

    • Coordinate academic and university staff awards for the academic year.
    • Review policies and make suggestions regarding the following:  wellness, retention, community building, staffing needs, etc.
    • Advise the Chair on staff issues.
