Dr. Laura Strong is the founder of Propagate Health. She has more than 15 years of operational, strategic, and clinical development experience in biopharmaceutical drug discovery and development.
In her previous position as president and COO of Quintessence Biosciences, she was responsible for advancing the company’s proprietary cancer therapies through human clinical trials to market. A major component of this work was the development and execution of a regulatory and clinical strategy for a protein-based cancer therapeutic. Further, she developed customer and collaborator relationships with pharmaceutical and biotech companies.
Strong has served as an advisor to HealthMyne, directing the pharma strategy for the development of quantitative imaging in oncology. She is an adjunct faculty member in the master’s in biotechnology program at the University of Wisconsin- Madison and serves on the boards of a variety of small private companies. She writes about cancer drug development and equity investing on her blog at scientre.co as well as on Twitter as @SciEntre (Scientist-Entrepreneur).
Strong serves as mentor for companies through both MATTER in Chicago as well as Madison Entrepreneur Resource, Learning and Innovation Network (MERLIN). She has served as president of the Board of Directors for BioForward, the biotechnology association for Wisconsin.
As a National Institutes of Health predoctoral fellow, Strong earned a doctorate in organic chemistry at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She is co-author of 18 publications and inventor on 10 issued U.S. patents.
