I like being able to provide support to so many faculty and students who are making incredible discoveries that truly impact the world. It makes me feel like I’m making a difference too.
- Meet Laura Reade. Laura graduated from UW–Madison with a BS in Economics in May of 2023 and spent the summer interning with the State Department of Health before beginning to work for the Department of Chemistry in August of 2023. She says it’s been fun working on campus and feeling the energy that emanates from the university. In her words, “I proudly declare the entire admin team as jacks of all trades — we support the faculty and their groups with travel coordination, processing reimbursements, event planning, graduate recruiting, meal hosting, seminars, etc… we say ‘yes’ more than we say ‘no’, which is both our strength and weakness.” When she’s not working she enjoys attending as many concerts as she can with her husband and says they are avid music lovers. They also enjoy gaming with League of Legends. Teamfight Tactics, a spinoff is her favorite game. She says she often stays up until the early morning hours on weekends to cheer on my favorite esports team, T1 when their matches are streamed live from Korea.
