I really enjoy working with my colleagues and the students.
Meet Liana Lamont! Liana teaches introductory general chemistry courses (Chem103 and Chem104) for up to 350 students. She coordinates these same courses for up to 2300 students per semester taught by multiple lead instructors. She develops materials to be used in lectures, discussion sections, and for quizzes and exams. She also supports TAs and lead instructors as they teach these courses. Liana holds a Ph.D. and began working in the department in 2006 for The Journal of Chemical Education and as an adjunct instructor. She worked part-time while her children were little and took her current position in 2016. Outside of work, she likes to run, hike, bike, do yoga, read, garden, cook, and spend time with her dog and children.
